welcome beginners!

We are so happy you've decided to try a pilates class at studioCORE! Here is some basic info to get you started:

  • If you are brand new to reformers, please see adjacent info to book a required reformer intro option

  • We workout barefoot or you can bring special socks w/ sticky rubber

  • Please bring a water bottle

  • Be sure to tell your instructor about injuries or conditions

fundamentals class

This introductory reformer class is required if you have never used a reformer before (either at our studio OR at another studio).  If you are a local and it is your first time on a reformer, you can take our Fundamentals class on Tuesday nights at 5pm for only $15.  It is taught at a slightly slower pace and using entry level positions so you can learn foundational reformer movements and core pilates principles.. Usually students are ready to join group classes after this class, but  you and your instructor may determine that you would benefit from a private lesson as well.  

intro to refromer private

This private is a discounted, required session for people who want to take group reformer classes but have never used a reformer before (either at studioCORE or at another studio).   This is NOT an option for students who have used reformers, students who are seeking a standard private coaching experience, AND/OR students who do not intend to take group classes at studioCORE. On rare occasions, you and the instructor may determine you would benefit from another private lesson or two after this intro prior to classes.  If that occurs, subsequent privates would be at the regular private rate. 

pilates for men
Hey Gents!  Men can AND should do pilates! (You would be in the company of athletes in the NFL, NBA, Pro Soccer, MLB, and more!  Its such a great way to maintain balanced strength, flexibility and core stability as we age. in athletics. Strength training from the center out with pilates can keep you fit, safe, and mobile for all of our Teton mountain adventures. (or long days of guiding fishing or swinging a hammer!).  All of our classes are coed but also keep your eyes peeled for our men;s only Pilates & PBR class.
cancellation policy
Since there are only 6 reformers in the studio it is best to sign up in advance to ensure you get a space in a class.  For AM classes (anything before noon), there is an 12hr cancellation window in order to avoid being charged for the class.  For PM classes (noon or later), there is a 6hr cancellation window.  If you aren't sure you can get up for that 6am class, you may want to wait until the morning to register.  Of course, then you can't be guranteed a spot!
